Premade Boots for Pipe Penetrations
The introduction EPDM rubber liners in the pond building industry opened new doors for contractors, landscapers and home-owners by eliminating the need for elaborate lining equipment and techniques. A simple and easy to use tape and glue systems is all that is needed to seal pieces of liner together. Still, one of the daunting tasks to accomplish is effectively sealing around pipes that source and re-circulate the water in a a pond system. Although manufacturer supplied boots are available, they are usually for pipes that are much larger and usually rests at varying pond slope angles. Multiple liner integrity studies have concluded that next to liner damage from backfilling, poorly constructed pope boots are the leading cause of pond leakage and costly repair work. Headwater Construction's pre-fabricated EPDM pipe boots can alleviate a great deal of installation grief and worry while helping you get the job done faster. Everything you will need, from gaskets to banding is included with every boot kit. Each pipe pope is both internally and externally welded, in a controlled environment, for strength and an assured seal. The boots are made on a conductive jig and are tested electronically to confirm quality workmanship. We carry Standard pipe diameters, up to 12" and offer orientations of vertical and sloped (27°) angles, which cover virtually any installation condition. Each boot includes oversized attachment skirts to allow custom fitting, for one simple weld area. Custom fabricated boots are available, once pipe diameter and angle are confirmed with the customer.
