Assume you operate a 200 ton-per-day sanitary landfill, charging $60.00 per ton tipping fees. Using the industry standard, 3 to 1 soil cover (6" avg..) ratio and a working face of approximately 100" x 100’ which equals 10,000 sq.ft. The amount of soil needed to put 6" average cover on the face equals 185 cubic yards.

	1 cubic yard equals .6 tons
	Tipping fees @ $60 x .6 equals a $36 revenue opportunity
	185 cubic yards x $36 equals $6,660 in lost revenue per day
	Operating at 6 days per week this equals lost revenues of $2,077,920 annually!!!
